Hyundai’s Limited-Time Promotion: Free Level 2 EV Charger and Installation Credits for U.S. EV Buyers

Hyundai has introduced an enticing limited-time promotion for customers in the United States who purchase or lease a new electric vehicle (EV). This offering, managed through Hyundai Motor Finance, includes a complimentary home charger and installation credit, underscoring the automaker’s commitment to supporting the EV transition.

Customers who opt for a 2023 or 2024 Ioniq 5, 2023 or 2024 Ioniq 6, or 2023 Kona Electric between September 21 and October 31 will receive a coupon code. This code can be redeemed for a complimentary ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2 EV charger, valued at $549, along with an installation credit of up to $600, resulting in a total value exceeding $1,100.

To benefit from this promotion, eligible EV buyers must register on Hyundai’s online Marketplace and input the coupon code within 90 days of signing their purchase or lease contract. Subsequently, they will be connected with a dedicated Energy Advisor at Hyundai Home. This advisor will provide personalized guidance throughout the charger installation process, including assessing the buyer’s home, identifying a trusted installer, and securing the necessary permits.

Hyundai’s Marketplace offers more than just charging solutions; it also enables buyers to explore the purchase of solar panels and home energy storage systems. To facilitate these offerings, Hyundai has partnered with Electrum, an online provider of home electrification solutions.

The ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2 charger, available in three variants (hardwired, with a NEMA 6-50 plug, or a NEMA 14-50 plug), can deliver a power range of 16 to 50 amps, catering to various EV charging needs.

José Muñoz, President and Global COO of Hyundai Motor Company and President and CEO of Hyundai Motor North America, commented on the initiative, stating, “At Hyundai, we are focused on offering a wide range of high-quality EVs for our customers to choose from, but we know that the charging infrastructure and the process of preparing their homes is at the forefront of the minds of many EV-curious buyers.” He added, “With this offer, we’re making it easier for everyone to go electric by providing our EV customers with an expert Energy Advisor who can personally walk them through the process of outfitting their homes with the proper charging, energy storage, and collection equipment using our Hyundai Home Marketplace.” This initiative reflects Hyundai’s dedication to facilitating a smoother transition to electric mobility for its customers.
