A Tesla Cybertruck release candidate (RC) unit made a notable appearance on the streets of Las Vegas over the weekend, offering a closer look at its distinctive design and intriguing features. The vehicle was observed with taped-on wires, stickers, and a rear-mounted trailer hitch, drawing attention due to its stark contrast with conventional automobiles.
The strikingly angular Cybertruck, designed by Tesla’s chief designer Franz von Holzhausen, left a lasting impression on onlookers, including @curtismc08, the original poster of the sighting. @curtismc08 expressed that the vehicle was even more impressive in person than anticipated and disclosed reserving their own Cybertruck while on a flight after witnessing von Holzhausen’s memorable sledgehammer demonstration on the 2019 prototype.

This particular Cybertruck RC unit appears to be the same one previously spotted at a Las Vegas Supercharger station. Notably, the charging cable at the V2 and V3 stalls was found to be slightly short, necessitating the truck to be parked in close proximity to the stall. The presence of the “Tesla vehicle charging only” sign pole further confirmed the vehicle’s affiliation with the electric automaker.
Continuing the trend from its previous sighting, this Cybertruck also features a trailer hitch, offering a glimpse of its utility. Additionally, the full-width rear light bar, a distinctive design element, remains a part of the vehicle, reinforcing expectations that delivery-intent units will include this feature.

In terms of features, the Tesla Cybertruck is anticipated to come equipped with air suspension, rear-wheel steering, an interior ambient lighting setup, and a rear passenger touchscreen similar to those seen in the Model S, Model X, and facelifted Model 3.
