Lotus, the renowned British automotive manufacturer, has joined forces with Hedin Mobility Group to bring its all-electric Eletre to the markets of Sweden and the Netherlands. The partnership between the two companies encompasses the sale of Lotus vehicles as well as associated aftermarket services. Hedin Bil will act as the official representative of the Lotus brand in Gothenburg, Sweden, while Hedin Automotive will assume the role in Amstelveen, Veghel, and soon in the Rotterdam region of the Netherlands.
The collaboration with Hedin Mobility Group is expected to fortify Lotus’ existing distribution network in both Sweden and the Netherlands, as affirmed by Niels de Gruijter, Executive Director of Lotus Cars Europe. De Gruijter expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “With Hedin Mobility Group, we have found an established and professional dealer partner that will further strengthen our existing distribution network in both Sweden and the Netherlands. We are delighted that Hedin Mobility Group will be joining us on this adventurous journey that we are now embarking on with the launch of the new Lotus Eletre.”
Prospective customers can already place orders for the Lotus Eletre online, and starting this month, the electric model will be available for viewing at Hedin showrooms in Sweden and the Netherlands. Deliveries to customers are slated to commence in July.
In the United Kingdom, the electric SUV carries a price tag starting from £89,500, although the two higher-end variants, which boast greater power output in some cases, come with a significantly higher price. The Eletre S, for instance, starts at around £104,500.
Both versions of the vehicle come equipped with a 450 kW electric drive system. Additionally, the base model features a 112-kWh battery that provides a range of 600 kilometers. When utilizing a sufficiently powerful fast-charging station, the Eletre can recharge its battery from 10 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes.
The Lotus Eletre has already been available in the Chinese market since the end of March. Hedin Mobility Group, in addition to its new partnership with Lotus, also handles the distribution of BYD vehicles in the German market.
