Lotus Type 133 1 690x375 - New Images of the Lotus Envya's Interior Surface During Winter Testing
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Lotus Envya, an upcoming electric sedan, is undergoing winter testing in northern China. Recently, new images of the car, officially known as the Type 133, have surfaced thanks to attentive Lotus fans. These images provide a glimpse inside the car, which is currently concealed in camouflage to conceal its bodywork details.

The split-headlights design with DLRs sitting separately above the driving lights is visible in the new images. Unlike previous photos, this vehicle does not have any sensors on the roof. However, the outline of a retractable LiDAR sensor can be seen. The additional LiDAR sensors are located above the wheels in the wheel arches, similar to the Lotus Eletre. They are currently covered by boxy extrusions.

The test car’s interior is configured with 4 seats, and it is likely that this will be the only option. The Envya sits lower than the Eletre, which may indicate that batteries are stored in the tunnel running between the seats, from front to back of the car.

The dashboard is currently covered, but the steering wheel appears to be similar to the one in the Eletre. The shape of the dashboard also seems to be similar, running low with wide and narrow displays, as in the electric SUV from Lotus.

The seats have a similar design and feature red seat belts, adding a touch of uniqueness to the car. In terms of technical specifications, it is likely that the Envya will share its drivetrains with other models in the Lotus line, including the 905 hp R version which is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds. After the winter testing is finished, the test vehicles will return to the factory for further testing before the production version of the Lotus Envya is released to the market.
