Osprey Charging Expands Rapidly with Increased Deployment of EV Charging Infrastructure in Q1 2023

Osprey Charging, a UK network of rapid electric vehicle (EV) charging points, has demonstrated the increasing deployment of public charging infrastructure with an impressive milestone. The company announced that it installed as many chargers in the first quarter of 2023 as it did throughout the entire year of 2022. In just 10 weeks between January and March, Osprey Charging installed 142 new rapid EV charging stations that are now open to public use, bringing the total number of charge points to 4+ charger hubs across the UK.

According to Ian Johnston, CEO of Osprey Charging Network, the whole team is working tirelessly to achieve the company’s ambitious business plan of four times as many chargers in 2023 as in the previous year. Johnston emphasized the network’s focus on ease of use, accessibility, and payment to create a worry-free experience for EV drivers using the public charging network. Osprey Charging stations are open to all drivers and accept all major EV roaming solutions for fleet and commercial drivers.

Osprey Charging’s load-balancing hubs, introduced to the UK in 2021, dynamically distribute available power in real time to cars as they need it. This innovation allows more charge points to be installed on a smaller grid connection than a traditional setup, eliminating wasted power. The company’s charging locations consistently score high in safety and accessibility ratings, with independent inspection body ChargeSafe placing Osprey Charging Network among the top three UK chargepoint network operators in both personal safety and accessibility.

Osprey Charging’s rapid expansion and innovative approach to charging infrastructure are crucial to meeting the growing demand for EV charging across the UK. With its commitment to safety, accessibility, and reliability, Osprey Charging is a key player in the future of sustainable transportation.
