Geely Holding announced that its total sales across its various automotive brands, including Geely Auto, Geometry, Livan, LYNK & CO, Zeekr, Volvo Cars, Polestar, Proton, Lotus, smart, Radar, LEVC, and Farizon Commercial Vehicle, reached over 2.3 million units in 2022, a growth of 4.7% compared to the previous year. This marks the fifth consecutive year that Geely Holding has achieved more than 2 million units in total sales.
In 2022, Geely Holding Group’s sales of electric and clean alternative fuel vehicles (passenger and commercial) nearly doubled from the previous year, reaching 675,000 units and accounting for 29% of the group’s total sales.
This sales increase was in line with the group’s ongoing focus on electrification, advanced technologies, and sustainability. Additionally, the group signed agreements with key European partners to collaborate on technology and improve operational efficiency.
Geely Holding expects to see a rise in demand for electric and clean alternative fuel vehicles in 2023 across its various brands. This is due to a strong expansion in the availability of electric models, a resolution of supply chain issues, and the end of disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Geely Automobile Group (HK.0175) plans to sell 1.65 million units in 2023, a 15% increase from 2022. Zeekr aims to double its premium electric vehicle sales and expand to Europe in 2023.
Polestar anticipates a 60% increase in global electric vehicle sales, reaching 80,000 in 2023. Geely New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group plans to sell 150,000 clean electrified and alternative fuel commercial vehicles in 2023.
