The Hyper SSR claims to be the first electric supercar built in China. The new model was unveiled at an event in Guangzhou. The Hyper SSR has a maximum output of 1,225 hp and up to 12,000 Nm of torque. With this capability, it can accelerate from 0-62 mph (100km/h) in just 1.9 seconds.
The body panels of the Hyper SSR are made of carbon fiber, and there’s a large carbon fiber diffuser at the rear to keep the Hyper SSR on the road. To make it look like a typical supercar, there’s a cool-looking set of butterfly doors and sleek LED headlights.
The all-wheel-drive Hyper SSR model will retail for around $240,000. GAC also produces a slower-performance rear-wheel drive variant, which can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 2.3 seconds for over $180,000.
