Tesla in Q3 delivered 343,000 electric cars between July and September 2022 which is the company’s latest record. Production in Q3 also hit a record with over 365,000 Tesla produced over the past three months.
The Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Model Y are still the mainstay of the company with 346,000 cars produced and around 325,000 of them delivered to customers.
For the first time, the company has such a large stock of cars even though technically all the vehicles have been sold and are waiting for the delivery process.
Meanwhile for the other models, namely the Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X, Tesla produced nearly 20,000 with 18,672 units delivered to customers.
The high amount of production makes the company experience a new problem, namely transportation to be sent to the owner.
So far from January to September, Tesla produced 929,750 electric vehicles, the company still plans to increase production by the end of the year.
With the Giga Berlin increasing production, the Giga Texas accelerating and the Giga Shanghai recently being upgraded, Tesla is targeting production of nearly 1.5 million units for this year.
