Leapmotor has reduced the UK price of its T03 electric hatchback by doubling the value of its LEAP-GRANT incentive to £3,000, lowering the vehicle’s on-the-road price to £12,995.
The updated incentive marks the first anniversary of the company’s LEAP-GRANT program and follows more than 10,000 registrations of the T03 since its UK launch.
LEAP-GRANT Doubled to £3,000
Leapmotor introduced the LEAP-GRANT in 2025 to provide customers with a straightforward purchase incentive during changes to the UK government’s Electric Car Grant program.
Initially worth £1,500, the manufacturer-funded discount reduced the T03’s price from £15,995 to £14,495.
With the incentive now doubled, buyers receive a £3,000 discount, bringing the entry-level electric hatchback’s price down to £12,995.
Entry-Level EV With Compact Design
The T03 is a five-door A-segment electric hatchback equipped with a 37.3 kWh battery, delivering a WLTP driving range of 165 miles.
Leapmotor positions the model as offering the interior space and practicality of a larger B-segment vehicle while maintaining the affordability of an A-segment city car.
Damien Dally, Managing Director of Leapmotor UK, said the company wanted to simplify EV purchasing while making electric mobility more accessible.
“When we launched our industry-first LEAP-GRANT a year ago, we offered simplicity, clarity, and financial savings for customers left confused and in limbo by the Government’s own scheme.”
He added:
“While other cars in the segment might come close on price, they don’t compare when it comes to the level of technology and specification we offer on the T03 as standard.”
Growing UK EV Lineup
Leapmotor, which is backed by Stellantis, currently sells three battery-electric models in the UK.
Alongside the T03, the company offers the C10 electric SUV, featuring a 69.9 kWh battery, 160 kW motor and a WLTP range of 263 miles, as well as the recently introduced B10, which uses a 56.2 kWh LFP battery and delivers a driving range of approximately 361 kilometres.
The expanded LEAP-GRANT reinforces Leapmotor’s strategy of competing in the value-focused electric vehicle market by combining manufacturer-funded incentives with competitively priced battery-electric models.
