Polestar said it will expand its retail operations into Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, increasing the number of markets in which the electric vehicle manufacturer operates to 31.
The company will enter the Baltic region through a partnership with Volvax Baltic, using the distributor’s existing retail network in the three countries.
According to Polestar, the first dedicated Polestar Space is scheduled to open in Tallinn, Estonia, in June. Additional locations are planned for Riga, Latvia, and Vilnius, Lithuania, during the second half of the year.
Expansion Adds Three New Markets
The launch in the Baltic States will make Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania Polestar’s 29th, 30th and 31st markets globally.
Scott Dicken, Chief Commercial Officer at Polestar, said the expansion forms part of the company’s ongoing efforts to broaden its retail presence.
“Expanding into the Baltic region is a natural next step for Polestar as we continue to grow in Europe, and is part of our journey to grow our sales network in 2026 to 250 locations globally,” said Dicken.
“At the same time, we are transforming our retail network to meet customers where they are, with locations designed around test drives, making it easier for more customers to experience our cars.”
“It’s a significant achievement for a young brand like Polestar to operate in more than 30 markets.”
Europe Remains Largest Market
Polestar said Europe accounted for 78% of its total retail sales volume in the first quarter of 2026, making it the company’s largest geographic market.
The expansion into the Baltic States adds to the company’s existing European footprint as it continues to increase market coverage across the region.
Charging Access Available
The company noted that customers in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania will be able to access charging services through Polestar Charge.
According to Polestar, the platform provides access to more than 2,800 charging points across the three countries, including both high-speed and local charging options.
The Baltic region has continued to expand its charging infrastructure as electric vehicle adoption grows.
Polestar did not disclose sales targets or expected delivery volumes for the new markets.
