ChargePoint has appointed Jyothi Swaroop as Chief Marketing and Growth Officer as the company seeks to expand its position beyond traditional EV charging infrastructure into broader intelligent electrification markets.
Swaroop will oversee ChargePoint’s global go-to-market strategy, including marketing, growth initiatives, sales enablement, partner monetization, market expansion and go-to-market operations.
He will report directly to ChargePoint Chief Executive Rick Wilmer.
ChargePoint said the appointment comes during what it described as a pivotal phase in the company’s transformation, with a stronger focus on profitable growth, software and platform expansion, strategic partnerships and long-term market leadership.
Rick Wilmer said Swaroop’s experience across enterprise technology and infrastructure sectors aligns with the company’s broader ambitions as electrification expands into new industries.
“ChargePoint is entering a new phase — one defined not only by operational discipline, but by growth, execution, and market leadership,” Wilmer said.
He added that the company sees future growth opportunities extending beyond passenger vehicle charging into sectors including commercial fleets, logistics, robotics, autonomous systems, energy infrastructure and software-defined mobility.
As Chief Marketing and Growth Officer, Swaroop will focus on strengthening ChargePoint’s revenue generation, scaling partner-led growth initiatives, improving market awareness and developing a broader platform narrative around intelligent electrification.
Swaroop said the company’s future opportunity extends beyond charging hardware deployments.
“The future will require an intelligent, connected, reliable energy layer that supports how people, fleets, machines, autonomous systems, AI data centers and physical infrastructure move and operate,” he said.
Before joining ChargePoint, Swaroop held leadership roles at enterprise technology companies including Oracle, Dell EMC, Veritas Technologies and DDN.
