DKV Mobility has launched a charging and fuel card tailored for electric truck operators, aiming to simplify access to heavy-duty charging infrastructure across Europe as fleet electrification accelerates.
The new DKV Card +Charge Truck provides access to more than 3,000 verified truck-compatible charging points across 17 European countries, while also supporting conventional fuel purchases and other vehicle-related services.
According to DKV Mobility, the card combines charging, refuelling, washing and maintenance-related services into a single billing system designed for mixed commercial fleets transitioning toward electric drivetrains.
The company said it has negotiated preferential charging tariffs with several charging network operators to provide lower pricing than standard public charging rates at selected locations.
The discounted rates currently apply to part of the network, although DKV said the number of participating charging sites is continuing to expand.
DKV Mobility said the service is intended to address operational challenges faced by logistics operators as electric truck adoption increases, particularly around charging access, billing integration and route planning.
To qualify as truck-compatible within the network, charging stations must meet specific technical standards defined by DKV Mobility, including minimum canopy heights of four meters, lane widths of at least 2.7 meters and sufficient maneuvering space for vehicles at least nine meters long.
The company added that more than 80% of the network’s charging locations provide charging capacities above 300 kW.
Drivers and fleet operators can monitor charging prices, station availability and energy consumption in real time through the DKV Mobility mobile application.
The card also supports additional services at selected sites, including parking, vehicle washing, tire services and repairs.
DKV Mobility said drivers can additionally access its broader charging ecosystem of approximately 1.2 million charge points if dedicated truck-compatible chargers are unavailable nearby.
Sven Mehringer, managing director responsible for Energy & Vehicle Services at DKV Mobility, said the complexity of commercial vehicle energy supply is increasing as fleets adopt multiple drivetrain technologies.
“The energy supply for commercial vehicles is becoming more complex—with more drivetrain types, more providers, and more billing systems,” Mehringer said.
“The DKV Card +Charge Truck provides fleet operators with a solution: one card for all drivetrains, all services, and one bill.”
Tim Dambor, director of product management for eMobility Roaming at DKV Mobility, said operational reliability remains a key concern for electric truck fleet operators.
“For electric truck drivers and dispatchers, reliability is key,” Dambor said.
“With our verified network and real-time overview in the app, both can be confident: the next station is reachable, and the vehicle can actually charge there.”
The DKV Card +Charge Truck is now available across Europe.
