Peugeot has released UK pricing and specifications for its updated 408 lineup, including the fully electric Peugeot E-408, as the automaker expands its electrified vehicle range in the British market.
The revised 408 family includes hybrid, plug-in hybrid and battery-electric variants. Peugeot said prices for the hybrid model start at £31,995, while the all-electric E-408 begins at £34,195 before application of the UK government’s £1,500 Electric Car Grant, reducing the effective entry price to £32,695.
The updated E-408, first unveiled in January, is equipped with a 58-kWh battery paired with a 157-kW electric motor producing 343 Nm of torque.
According to Peugeot, the model offers a WLTP driving range of up to 283 miles depending on the trim configuration and supports DC fast charging speeds of up to 120 kW.
The automaker said the vehicle includes selectable regenerative braking levels controlled via steering-wheel paddles, as well as battery preconditioning and vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality. The V2L adapter will be sold separately through Peugeot retailers.
The E-408 is offered in Allure, GT and GT Premium trims. Pricing before incentives starts at £34,195 for the Allure version, £36,595 for the GT trim and £39,095 for the GT Premium variant.
Peugeot said the Allure and GT trims can achieve up to 283 miles of WLTP range, while the GT Premium version offers up to 281 miles.
The updated 408 lineup also features exterior styling revisions, including a redesigned front grille, updated bumper styling and illuminated Peugeot logos on higher trim levels.
The E-408 additionally receives exclusive 19-inch “Adakite” alloy wheels finished in a dedicated Graphite color.
Inside the cabin, Peugeot has revised materials and digital interfaces across the range. All models come equipped with the company’s i-Cockpit system, featuring a 10-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment display.
GT versions add connected navigation and configurable virtual i-Toggles shortcuts, while GT Premium trims include a 3D digital instrument display.
Alongside the electric version, Peugeot continues to offer the 408 with hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The plug-in hybrid model combines a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with a 92-kW electric motor, delivering a combined output of 221 horsepower and up to 50 miles of electric-only WLTP range from a 16.2-kWh battery.
