Ampeco has partnered with Plugsurfing to provide managed roaming services for electric mobility service providers, or eMSPs, across Europe.
The companies said the integration gives eMSP customers access to more than one million charging points across 28 European countries through a single Roam-OCPI integration.
According to Ampeco, the Plugsurfing integration is available immediately for all eMSP customers operating in European markets.

The partnership expands the roaming options available on Ampeco’s platform, which previously supported self-managed and hybrid roaming models.
Under the managed roaming approach, Plugsurfing handles relationships with connected charge point operators, consolidates billing, validates charging session data and provides standardised tariff information.
Ampeco said the arrangement is designed to reduce operational complexity for eMSPs seeking rapid expansion of charging coverage without negotiating multiple bilateral roaming agreements individually.

The company said customers can now choose between three roaming models depending on their business strategy.
The self-managed option allows providers to maintain direct control over charging partnerships and commercial conditions, while the hybrid model combines direct operator relationships with broader roaming access through Plugsurfing.
According to the companies, the Plugsurfing network currently provides roaming coverage of approximately 78% overall and more than 93% coverage for DC and high-power charging infrastructure.

The roaming network includes operators such as Ionity, Tesla, Fastned and Allego.
Ampeco said the network includes more than 500,000 charging points across Germany, France and Netherlands alone.
Across Europe, Plugsurfing claims access to more than one million charging points in total.
Stefan Ivanov, chief revenue officer at Ampeco, said the partnership responds to increasing demand from customers for more flexible roaming strategies.
