General Motors’ Buick brand began pre-sales for the Electra E7 plug-in hybrid sport utility vehicle in China on Friday, as the automaker continues expanding its electrified product lineup in the market.
The mid-size SUV is priced between 160,000 yuan ($23,410) and 210,000 yuan during the pre-sales period and will be offered in three trim levels, Buick said.
The Electra E7 is scheduled to officially launch and begin deliveries on April 22.
Customers who place online orders before April 21 will receive early-order incentives valued at 10,000 yuan, the company said.
Buick said the Electra E7 is powered by its Zhenlong plug-in hybrid system paired with a 32.6-kWh battery pack.
The vehicle offers a battery-only driving range of 235 kilometers under China’s CLTC testing cycle and a combined range of 1,630 kilometers with a full tank and full charge, according to the company.
The model is equipped with roof-mounted LiDAR and an advanced driver-assistance system developed in partnership with Chinese autonomous driving startup Momenta.
Buick said the system is powered by Momenta’s R6 reinforcement learning model and supports assisted driving functions across highway, urban and parking scenarios.
The cabin includes features such as a reclining front passenger seat, temperature-controlled storage box and Dolby Atmos audio system.
The Electra E7 also incorporates the latest Doubao AI model from ByteDance for voice interaction capabilities, Buick said.
