Geely Galaxy, the new energy vehicle brand under Geely Auto, has teased a new off-road sport utility vehicle as it prepares to enter the fast-growing rugged SUV segment.
The company has not yet finalized the model’s official name and said on Tuesday that it has launched a global naming campaign for the upcoming vehicle.

Geely Galaxy has released limited details about the model so far. Earlier this month, the brand shared winter testing images of the SUV, referring to it at the time as the Geely Galaxy Cruiser.
The vehicle’s concept version was first unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2025, featuring a boxy design typical of traditional off-road vehicles.
According to earlier reports cited by Autocar, the model is positioned as a competitor to established luxury off-road SUVs such as the Land Rover Defender and the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

The new SUV is expected to launch and begin deliveries in the Chinese market before the end of the year, according to Flavien Dachet, design studio director at Geely.
The vehicle will feature Geely’s GVMC dynamic control system, which the company says enables a moose test speed of 80 km/h and a maximum wading depth of 800 millimeters.
To improve off-road performance, the SUV is also expected to incorporate an AI-powered four-wheel-drive system capable of automatically switching between front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive modes depending on driving conditions.
Additional features include active suspension, a crab-walk mode designed to help navigate tight terrain, and flat-tire driving control technology.

Geely previously said the model will also include advanced automated safety systems capable of helping drivers avoid road obstacles.
A roof-mounted LiDAR sensor visible on the test vehicle suggests the SUV will support advanced driver assistance systems and potentially enable complex point-to-point urban driving assistance features.
