Chinese autonomous driving technology company MINIEYE has entered a strategic partnership with Ground Iron Green Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. (DST) and vehicle maker Gecko Motors to accelerate commercialization of unmanned delivery vans, the company said in a statement on its official WeChat account.
The three companies plan to jointly design, manufacture and deploy vehicle-grade autonomous logistics vehicles at scale, addressing what they describe as a persistent gap in China’s driverless delivery market. The collaboration spans the entire value chain, from technology development and mass production to commercial operations.

Under the agreement, MINIEYE will supply the core Level 4 autonomous driving system, aiming to ensure safety and reliability. Gecko Motors will develop the vehicle chassis and hardware platform, while DST will contribute logistics expertise, including operational insights on product design, performance requirements and cost management.
The partners said the coordinated approach combines MINIEYE’s in-house autonomous driving stack, Gecko Motors’ manufacturing capabilities and DST’s logistics network to create a scalable model for unmanned delivery services. The goal is to reduce logistics costs and improve efficiency through round-the-clock operation and lower labor dependence.
Autonomous delivery vehicles are increasingly viewed as a solution to rising operational pressures in China’s logistics sector. However, widespread deployment has been limited by the lack of robust, mass-producible vehicle platforms capable of operating reliably in complex urban environments.

The companies cited field trials of the Bamboo Robovan, which has been tested in locations including Shenzhen’s Huaqiangbei commercial district, agricultural wholesale markets and logistics sites operated by Changsha Jiucheng Group. According to the partners, the vehicle demonstrated stable performance in dense and dynamic traffic conditions.
The model has also secured significant orders, including 500 units from Master Technology and 800 units from New Gonow, suggesting growing commercial interest. The new partnership is intended to support scaled deployment and strengthen MINIEYE’s position in China’s rapidly developing autonomous logistics market.
