Skoda Auto posted its strongest global sales performance in six years, delivering 1,043,900 vehicles worldwide, a 12.7% increase from a year earlier, as demand for battery-electric and plug-in hybrid models accelerated, the Czech automaker said.
In Europe, Skoda delivered 836,200 vehicles across the EU27+4 markets, securing third place among all car brands in the region for the first time. Electrified vehicles accounted for 25.7% of European deliveries, meaning roughly one in four Skoda cars sold in the region was either fully electric or a plug-in hybrid, underscoring the growing importance of electrification to the brand’s strategy.

Strong demand for the all-electric Skoda Enyaq and the newly launched Skoda Elroq lifted Skoda to fourth place among Europe’s best-selling electric vehicle manufacturers, with close to 175,000 EVs delivered. The Elroq emerged as one of the top-performing models, ranking as Europe’s second best-selling electric vehicle and leading sales charts in several individual markets.
Germany remained Skoda’s largest single market, with deliveries rising 12.8% to 211,100 vehicles. It was followed by the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Poland and France. Electrified vehicle growth was particularly strong in markets with high EV adoption, including Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands and Skoda’s home market of the Czech Republic, the company said.

Thanks to this momentum, Skoda captured a 6.8% share of the European electric vehicle market, highlighting its growing role in the region’s transition to electric mobility.
Globally, Skoda delivered 218,700 electrified vehicles, comprising 174,900 battery-electric models and 43,800 plug-in hybrids, more than doubling volumes year-on-year with growth of 117.5%. While established combustion-engine models such as the Octavia and Kodiaq remain key contributors, electrified vehicles are increasingly shaping the company’s growth profile.
Outside Europe, Skoda’s international expansion continued to support its longer-term electrification plans. Deliveries in India nearly doubled to 70,600 vehicles, while production of the Slavia and Kushaq began in Vietnam, strengthening the brand’s footprint in Southeast Asia. The automaker also reported continued growth in Turkey, North Africa and the Middle East.

Looking ahead, Skoda Auto said it plans to significantly expand its electric lineup in 2026 with the launch of two new battery-electric models: the Epiq, an entry-level urban crossover, and the Peaq, a large seven-seat SUV positioned as the brand’s flagship EV. The additions are set to double Skoda’s all-electric portfolio as it balances electrification with what it calls a “freedom of powertrain choice” across markets.
