Suzuki has entered the UK salary sacrifice market with its first fully electric model, the e VITARA SUV, expanding access to the vehicle through tax-efficient employee schemes alongside new Motability pricing.
The Japanese automaker said eligible employees can now obtain the e VITARA through gross salary deductions, benefiting from income tax savings at either the 20% or 40% rate. The move comes as demand grows for electric vehicles offered through workplace schemes, supported by low benefit-in-kind (BiK) taxation for zero-emission cars.

Under the Motability scheme, Suzuki is offering the e VITARA 49 kWh Motion from an advance payment of £999, with the larger 61 kWh two-wheel-drive version available for an additional £300. Motability customers will also receive a free Ohme home charger, installed ahead of vehicle delivery. The offers run until March 2026.

Suzuki said the salary sacrifice packages are structured as zero-deposit arrangements with fixed monthly payments deducted from gross salary. The packages include insurance, maintenance, vehicle excise duty and roadside assistance, with replacement tyres and MOT testing included for higher-mileage users or longer contract terms. For the 2025–26 tax year, the BiK rate for zero-emission vehicles remains at 3%, rising to 4% in 2026–27 under current UK rules.

The automaker said the scheme is also designed to appeal to employers, who can benefit from reduced National Insurance contributions and minimal administrative complexity, while supporting corporate sustainability targets without additional upfront costs.
Employees can access the scheme by test-driving the e VITARA at a Suzuki dealer, selecting a preferred supplying retailer and completing the order through their employer. Vehicles can be delivered either to the dealer or directly to the customer’s home.

Alongside its electric offering, Suzuki continues to provide hybrid models through the Motability programme. The Swift Hybrid Motion and S-Cross Hybrid Motion are available with zero advance payment, while other variants — including the Swift Hybrid Ultra and Vitara Hybrid Motion — are offered with advance payments ranging from £499 to £999.
Suzuki’s move into salary sacrifice marks a further step in its electrification strategy in the UK, as manufacturers increasingly rely on fleet, company car and assisted-purchase schemes to drive early adoption of electric vehicles.
