Nio Inc reported a record monthly delivery total in December, driven largely by strong demand for its flagship ES8 sport utility vehicle, as the Chinese electric vehicle maker closed the year with improved momentum.
The company said it delivered 48,135 vehicles in December, its highest monthly figure to date. The result marked a 54.59 percent increase from a year earlier and a 32.69 percent rise from November. The performance was led by the third-generation ES8, which has emerged as a key growth driver for the premium Nio brand.

Nio’s core brand delivered 31,897 vehicles in December, surpassing the 30,000-unit mark for the first time. Deliveries under the Nio brand rose 54.76 percent year-on-year and 73.42 percent from the previous month. The company said the third-generation ES8 reached 40,000 cumulative deliveries just 100 days after launch, highlighting strong early demand.

The company’s mass-market sub-brand Onvo delivered 9,154 vehicles in December, down 13.05 percent from a year earlier and 22.38 percent lower than in November, reflecting softer momentum in that segment. Meanwhile, its newer brand Firefly delivered 19,084 vehicles during the month, representing a 52.83 percent increase from November.

For the fourth quarter, Nio delivered a total of 124,807 vehicles, near the top of its guidance range of 120,000 to 125,000 units. Quarterly deliveries were up 71.70 percent year-on-year and 43.34 percent from the third quarter.

For the full year 2025, Nio delivered 326,028 vehicles, representing a 46.88 percent increase from the previous year. The Nio brand accounted for 178,806 deliveries, while Onvo and Firefly contributed 107,808 and 39,414 units, respectively. Cumulative deliveries since the company’s founding reached 997,592 vehicles by year-end, approaching the one-million-unit milestone.
