Mercedes-Benz has begun European sales of the all-electric CLA Shooting Brake, expanding its compact EV line-up with a more versatile body style while initially limiting the range to higher-priced long-range variants.
At launch, only two versions equipped with the 85 kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery are available, mirroring the early offering of the CLA electric sedan.

The CLA 250+ Shooting Brake is priced from 57,096 euros in Germany, while the all-wheel-drive CLA 350 4MATIC Shooting Brake starts at 61,653 euros, making both versions around 1,250 euros more expensive than their sedan counterparts.
Mercedes plans to introduce a more affordable entry-level version at a later stage, using a smaller 58 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. Based on current pricing of the newly available CLA 200 sedan, which starts at 49,421 euros in Germany, the future CLA 200 Shooting Brake is expected to be priced at around 50,700 euros.

The rear-wheel-drive CLA 250+ delivers 200 kW of power and offers a WLTP driving range of up to 768 km, slightly below the equivalent sedan due to the Shooting Brake’s higher weight and less aerodynamic profile. The range-topping CLA 350 4MATIC combines the same battery with dual motors producing 260 kW and 515 Nm of torque, offering a WLTP range of up to 743 km.
Built on Mercedes’ 800-volt MMA platform, the Shooting Brake matches the sedan’s charging performance, supporting DC fast charging of up to 320 kW, allowing a 10–80% recharge in about 22 minutes. Standard equipment includes a panoramic glass roof, illuminated front panel, LED headlights, a 10.3-inch driver display and a 14-inch central screen, while optional features include the MBUX Superscreen and Multibeam LED headlights.

The Shooting Brake focuses on blending added cargo space with a sporty design, offering up to 1,290 litres of luggage capacity with the rear seats folded, along with a 101-litre front trunk. In Germany, Mercedes is also promoting a private leasing example for the CLA 250+ at 405 euros per month under specific conditions.
Mercedes said demand for the electric CLA sedan has been strong in Europe and expects the Shooting Brake to broaden the model’s appeal. “The brand-new electric CLA Shooting Brake is a true game-changer. It combines sporty performance with generous space and versatility,” said Mathias Geisen, Mercedes’ board member for marketing and sales. “For our customers, this means more room for individuality, adventure, and their personal lifestyle.”
