AVATR and Huawei announced an expanded strategic partnership on November 21 at Auto Guangzhou 2025, marking a new phase in cooperation between the new energy vehicle brand and the technology group.
The announcement followed Huawei’s rollout of an enlarged network of automotive partners under its updated business framework. AVATR, which began collaborating with Huawei in 2019, has increasingly aligned its development and product launch cycles with the company’s intelligent-vehicle technologies as the relationship has broadened.
Under the updated framework, AVATR will adopt Huawei’s next wave of intelligent-driving and cockpit technologies, including the Qiankun ADS Highway L3 system and the L3-capable HarmonySpace cockpit supported by MoLA’s advanced interaction capabilities. The companies plan to accelerate joint development and aim to bring 17 co-developed models to market by 2030 across multiple segments, including sedans, SUVs and MPVs.
AVATR remains the only automaker with mass-produced vehicles equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun ADAS suite, and its adoption of the HI PLUS co-creation model positions the company to integrate upcoming Huawei features at a faster pace.
The partnership is extending into retail channels as well. AVATR has become the first automaker integrated into the Huawei Qiankun app, enabling users to browse and order vehicles directly through Huawei’s ecosystem.
Both companies have launched their first Qiankun-branded flagship store, and AVATR showrooms now feature Huawei’s intelligent-driving signage to enhance visibility and brand alignment. The model will form the basis for a nationwide rollout of premium image stores and delivery-focused service centers, strengthening AVATR’s upgraded sales network.
Service operations are also being expanded through a joint program that introduces enhanced customer-care protocols, upgraded showroom environments and improved workflow management. The initiative covers a full set of premium service offerings designed to elevate the ownership experience across a range of daily-use scenarios. AVATR has additionally launched a winter service campaign providing seasonal checkups and support to customers in northern regions.
User engagement forms another element of the cooperation. In late October, AVATR and Huawei hosted the Qiankun Intelligent Driving City Open Tournament, which drew more than 20,000 participants from nearly 300 cities who tested Huawei’s urban-driving capabilities in real-world conditions. Both companies plan to launch further co-creation initiatives aimed at strengthening user participation and ecosystem development.
Alongside operational cooperation, the partnership is underpinned by a deepening financial relationship. In October, AVATR acquired a 10 percent stake in Huawei’s subsidiary Yinwang for 11.5 billion yuan, reinforcing the long-term stability of the alliance and positioning AVATR as Huawei’s most closely integrated automotive partner.
