Onvo, a sub-brand of Nio, has introduced a limited-edition version of its L90 large electric SUV, expanding the brand’s recent product push alongside Nio’s main lineup and its Firefly division.
The Onvo L90 Black Knight Edition debuted at the 2025 Guangzhou auto show, which opened on Thursday. Production is capped at 999 units, with deliveries scheduled to begin in early December.
The model starts at RMB 306,800 ($43,140) including the battery pack, representing a RMB 41,000, or 15.43 percent, premium over the standard L90’s starting price of RMB 265,800. Under the Battery as a Service (BaaS) plan, the limited edition starts at RMB 220,800, compared with RMB 179,800 for the regular model.
Onvo currently offers the L90 with an 85-kWh battery pack, which carries a monthly BaaS rental fee of RMB 899. The Black Knight Edition includes an all-wheel-drive system, a zero-gravity second-row seat, electric running boards, exclusive 21-inch wheels and black-themed exterior and interior accents.
The vehicle was displayed at the Onvo stand in Hall 17.2, Zone D, during the opening day of Auto Guangzhou 2025, alongside Hong Kong actor Louis Koo. The exhibition runs from November 21 to 30, with the first day reserved for media and invited guests. Public attendance is open from November 22 onwards. Exhibitors in the same hall include Xiaomi EV, Xpeng, Luxeed, Avatr and Changan Mazda.
Nio and Firefly are exhibiting in Hall D20.2, opposite SAIC Audi, which also features Zeekr (NYSE: ZK), Lynk & Co and Rox Motor. Onvo launched the L90 on July 31 and began deliveries on August 1, offering both six- and seven-seat configurations.
