Great Wall Motor’s Tank brand has introduced the refreshed Tank 400 SUV, expanding its lineup with new hybrid and internal combustion engine (ICE) variants as it seeks to strengthen its position in China’s competitive off-road SUV market.
The updated Tank 400 retains its rugged design and offers gasoline, diesel, and hybrid powertrains. The ICE versions are priced from RMB 249,800 ($35,090) for the gasoline model and RMB 264,800 for the diesel variant.

The hybrid lineup includes two Hi4-T options and one Hi4-Z option, starting at RMB 285,800 ($40,140), RMB 299,800, and RMB 319,800 respectively — lower than the pre-sale prices announced in October.
The Tank 400 hybrid is equipped with either a 37.1-kWh or 59.05-kWh battery pack, providing WLTC-rated electric ranges of 105 km and 200 km, respectively. Combined with a 70- or 77-liter fuel tank, the SUV can achieve a total driving range of up to 1,128 kilometers.
