Nissan Formula E Team will begin preparations for the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship with five days of pre-season testing at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain, from October 27 to 31. The sessions mark the team’s first on-track outing ahead of what will be the final year of the GEN3 Evo era.
Reigning Drivers’ World Champion Oliver Rowland and teammate Norman Nato will take part in the first four days of testing, sporting new car numbers for the upcoming season. Rowland will carry the #1 plate after claiming the championship title, while Nato will switch to Nissan’s traditional #23. The team, which secured seven podiums, four wins, and three pole positions in Season 11, will use the sessions to fine-tune its race package ahead of the season opener in São Paulo on December 6.

Tommaso Volpe, managing director and team principal of Nissan Formula E Team, said the Valencia tests would be crucial for sustaining the team’s momentum. “We’re looking forward to Pre-Season Testing in Valencia as we aim to build on our Season 11 achievements,” Volpe said. “After winning the Drivers’ World Championship and finishing third in the teams’ standings, our target is to continue with the ascending trajectory we’ve shown. I believe that our unchanged driver line-up of Oliver and Norman will allow us to secure strong results from the start.”
British driver Abbi Pulling, Nissan’s reserve and simulator driver, will take part in the all-women’s test on the final day of the week, having topped the same session in 2024. Pulling will drive the Nissan e-4ORCE 05 in two three-hour sessions as part of the team’s development program. “My target for this test is to once again get to grips with the car and build on my learnings from the Berlin Rookie Test,” Pulling said. “I’ve really enjoyed my time with the crew over the past year and I’m looking forward to continuing to work together in the upcoming season.”
