Tesla has rolled out Full Self-Driving (Supervised) version 14.1.2, introducing a new “Mad Max” speed profile for drivers who prefer a more assertive and dynamic driving experience.
The update, part of software version 2025.32.8.10, enhances Tesla’s suite of driver personality settings with a mode that allows for higher speeds and more frequent lane changes.
The Mad Max profile extends beyond the existing “Hurry” mode, offering an even more aggressive driving behavior designed to navigate dense traffic more efficiently.

The new setting follows last week’s release of “Sloth Mode,” introduced in the first version 14 update, which caters to drivers seeking a calmer and more cautious driving style.

According to early access users currently testing FSD v14, the Mad Max profile performs well in congested environments such as Los Angeles, where maintaining high speeds and frequent lane changes help vehicles move efficiently through heavy traffic.
However, in less crowded areas, the mode’s assertiveness may be excessive, as it accelerates more rapidly and often reaches highway speeds of up to 85 mph (137 km/h), occasionally exceeding local limits.
Tesla’s Autopilot chief Ashok Elluswamy hinted earlier on X (formerly Twitter) that a new version of FSD would include a “long-awaited” feature, prompting speculation about the rumored “Banish” mode. While that feature was not included in this release, the introduction of Mad Max mode signals Tesla’s continued focus on expanding customization options within its autonomous driving software. The update remains available only to a limited group of early access users as Tesla continues refining FSD v14 before wider distribution.
