Geely Holding Group launched its second self-owned roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) vessel, the “Jisu Glory,” on September 21 at the Meixi Ro-Ro Terminal of Ningbo Zhoushan Port in Zhejiang Province, Eastern China. Operated by the group’s JISU Logistics unit, the vessel departed on its maiden voyage carrying vehicles from Geely, Zeekr, Smart, Lotus, and Farizon to European markets, including the United Kingdom and Belgium.
The vessel expands Geely Auto’s shipping capabilities, supporting the company’s international vehicle distribution.
The “Jisu Glory” measures 199.9 meters in length and 38 meters in width, with a 10-meter draught and capacity for 7,000 standard vehicles. Its 12 car decks accommodate both internal combustion engine vehicles and lithium-ion electric vehicles, with the upper decks designed for hydrogen and natural gas-powered vehicles.
The ship is powered primarily by liquefied natural gas (LNG) stored in two 2,000-cubic-meter tanks, which helps reduce nitrogen oxide and sulfur oxide emissions.
Geely’s international sales have grown in 2025. In the first half of the year, the company exported 184,000 vehicles, with pure electric vehicle shipments increasing by 307% compared with the same period in 2024. The group has a presence in markets including Australia, Poland, and Brazil.
The all-new Geely EX5 EM-i, a hybrid model designed for international markets, was recently launched in Australia, complementing the company’s electric and conventional vehicle lineup.
The “Jisu Glory” follows Geely’s first self-operated ro-ro vessel, the “Jisu Fortune,” which began service in May 2025 from Taicang Port with 5,000 vehicles destined for Europe. Geely plans to continue investing in its maritime logistics infrastructure and cooperating with international shipping partners to support global vehicle deliveries.
The vessel is intended to enhance operational efficiency and accommodate a range of vehicle types, including electric, hybrid, and traditional models, while supporting Geely’s ongoing international shipping needs.
