Great Wall Motor’s (GWM) premium Wey brand has opened pre-sales for its new Gaoshan 7 multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), marking the latest addition to the Gaoshan lineup.
The Gaoshan 7 is offered in Standard and Welfare editions, priced at RMB 289,800 ($40,700) and RMB 349,800 respectively. Wey said the MPV received 3,756 pre-orders within the first hour.

Positioned as a mid-to-large family MPV, the Gaoshan 7 features a 2+2+3 seating configuration. It measures 5,050 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, 1,900 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3,085 mm.
The vehicle uses a plug-in hybrid system that combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with dual electric motors. The engine produces 125 kW (168 hp) and 245 Nm of torque, while the combined output reaches 337 kW and 644 Nm. Wey said this enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds.
The MPV is equipped with a 44.28-kWh ternary lithium battery, providing a WLTC electric range of 172 kilometers. When combined with a full fuel tank, the Gaoshan 7 offers a WLTC total range of 945 kilometers.

Standard features include Wey’s Hi4 intelligent electric all-wheel drive, a 128-channel LiDAR sensor, and the third-generation Coffee Pilot driver assistance system.
The Gaoshan 7 is based on the Gaoshan 8 MPV, which starts at RMB 309,800. The series also includes the larger Gaoshan 9 MPV, priced from RMB 353,800.
