Xpeng’s mid-size electric SUV, the G7, achieved a significant milestone by delivering 10,000 units in China just 41 days after its market debut. The crossover, which entered the Chinese market on July 3 as the brand’s seventh model, offers a range of up to 702 km, powered by a 218 kW (292 hp) rear-mounted electric motor.
It also features Xpeng’s in-house developed Turing AI chip capable of 2,250 TOPS, supporting advanced driver-assistance systems. The starting price for the domestic market is 195,800 yuan ($27,270).

The G7 gained early attention when it received 10,000 firm orders within nine minutes of its launch event. According to China EV DataTracker, the SUV began deliveries on July 7, selling 5,529 units that month, averaging around 230 units per day.
Xpeng reached its highest monthly delivery volume ever in July 2025, selling 36,717 vehicles, with the G7 accounting for approximately 15% of that total. Deliveries for August reached 4,471 units as of mid-month, with daily sales rising 49.6% to 344 vehicles.
Domestic waiting times range from two to four weeks, and over half of customers are selecting the top-of-the-line G7 Ultra trim, priced at 225,800 yuan ($31,450), which comes with three Turing AI chips for 2,250 TOPS. Xpeng officials also noted that the G7 has become the bestselling all-electric SUV within the 200,000–250,000 yuan ($27,860–$34,820) price range.

The Xpeng G7 is a mid-size, five-seat SUV measuring 4,892 mm in length, 1,925 mm in width, and 1,655 mm in height, with a 2,890 mm wheelbase. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and offers two battery options: a 68.5 kWh pack providing a 602 km CLTC range and an 80.8 kWh pack delivering up to 702 km. The entry-level model comes with two Nvidia Drive Orin chips delivering 508 TOPS, while the Ultra trim features three Turing AI chips for 2,250 TOPS, supporting L3-ready driver assistance.
The SUV’s interior emphasizes technology and comfort, featuring an 87-inch augmented reality head-up display, a 15.6-inch floating touchscreen powered by the Snapdragon 8295 chip, dual 50W wireless charging pads, a 7.1.4 surround sound system with 20 speakers, a 9-inch streaming rear-view mirror, and a 5.9-liter glovebox with password protection. With strong early demand and advanced tech integration, the Xpeng G7 has quickly established itself as a leading contender in China’s electric SUV segment.
