Kia America announced their vehicle sales report in the United States in March 2022. In total, Kia America sold 59,524 units of all vehicle types in the US in March.

That’s a 10.5% decrease compared to the same month in 2021. But on the plus side, Kia’s electric car sales increased 55% year on year and hit a record high in March 2022.

In March 2022 the Korean manufacturer delivered 3,156 Kia EV6, which means 5.3% of the total sales volume. In February, 2,125 Kia EV6s were sold.

In total, there have been 5,281 Kia EV6s shipped in the US since they were first sold to the public in February. The actual number of sales could increase, due to the strong demand from US consumers. However, it must be accompanied by adequate supply so that demand is met.

Kia America does not report sales for other all-electric or plug-in hybrid models, as they are counted along with conventional hybrids.

In recent months, sales of the all-electric Kia Niro EV have soared by around 1,000 per month. Overall sales of Kia’s all-electric models increased 55 percent from the previous record

Sales of the Niro model lineup of electrified crossovers increased 32 percent from the previous monthly sales record.
