Acura, the luxury vehicle division of Honda Motor Co., has donated 75 of its all-electric ZDX SUVs to The Nature Conservancy (TNC) to aid the environmental organization’s field operations and community outreach. The move marks Acura’s largest vehicle donation to date and underscores Honda’s continued support for environmental initiatives.
The vehicles, distributed through Acura’s U.S. dealership network, will be deployed across TNC operations in rural and remote areas, where staff regularly travel to conduct conservation work and support local engagement efforts. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to help TNC electrify its operational fleet.
“The donation of these vehicles has significantly accelerated our efforts to electrify our fleet, reducing our carbon footprint and setting a powerful example of climate leadership,” said Daniel Salzer, director of sustainability at The Nature Conservancy.
In addition to the vehicles, Honda has committed $1 million to expand EV charging infrastructure and further support TNC’s transition to electric mobility. The automaker and the conservation group first partnered more than 30 years ago during an effort to protect Ohio’s Big Darby Creek aquatic ecosystem. Since then, Honda has contributed more than $1 million to support environmental protection projects with TNC.
The ZDX is Acura’s first all-electric vehicle and has quickly gained traction in the U.S. market. In the first half of 2025, Honda sold 10,355 ZDX units, outpacing rival premium electric SUVs like the Cadillac Lyriq, which shares the same Ultium platform. The A-Spec all-wheel-drive version of the ZDX offers an EPA-estimated range of 313 miles, while the rear-wheel-drive variant is rated at 304 miles.
Acura has also rolled out competitive lease offers for its EV lineup, with discounts of up to $30,000 in select states. The Acura Prologue, Honda’s electric SUV counterpart, is available for lease starting at $259 per month in targeted regions including California, New York, and Oregon.
