Lucid Motors has unveiled updates to its 2026 Air sedan lineup, refining its electric luxury flagship with efficiency gains, improved comfort, and standard equipment upgrades—though the design remains largely unchanged from previous years.
The biggest improvement comes in the Air Touring trim, which now delivers an EPA-estimated range of 431 miles on 19-inch wheels, thanks to denser battery cells. That marks a 6% increase, or 25 additional miles, over the 2025 model. Lucid also upgraded the vehicle’s air conditioning system—borrowed from its upcoming Gravity SUV—to reduce cabin noise and improve cooling performance across all trims.
All 2026 Air models now come with Lucid’s 40-amp mobile charging cable as standard equipment, a feature that had previously required an accessory credit purchase. Additionally, a new five-triple-spoke 19-inch “Aeronaut” wheel design, available in Platinum or Stealth finishes, is being introduced for the Pure, Touring, and Grand Touring trims.
Lucid is also expanding the Grand Touring’s list of standard features. Twenty-way massaging, heated, and ventilated front seats—previously optional—now come standard, along with DreamDrive Premium driver-assistance features. The Grand Touring maintains its 512-mile range but sees the largest price increase at $4,000, partly due to these newly included features.
Lucid confirmed that all Air models equipped with DreamDrive Pro will receive an over-the-air update introducing Hands-Free Drive Assist and automatic lane changes. Additionally, beginning July 31, 2025, all Air sedans will gain access to Tesla’s V3+ Superchargers using Lucid’s $220 DC-NACS-to-CCS1 adapter.
The entry-level Pure trim remains the most efficient, offering about 5 mi/kWh, but otherwise sees modest updates limited to noise reduction and the now-standard charger. The price of the base Pure increases slightly to $70,900. Meanwhile, the Touring trim not only adds 25 miles of range but also continues to offer its 620 hp powertrain and 250 kW peak charging rate, with only a $1,000 price hike.
Lucid’s 2026 updates emphasize practicality and ownership value rather than a design overhaul, aiming to solidify the Air’s position as a top contender in the premium EV segment.
