Zeekr unveils M-Vision with L4 autonomous driving, ready for mass production in 2024

Zeekr, Geely’s electric vehicle brand has just unveiled the Zeekr M-Vision concept which is ready for mass production in 2024. The Zeekr M-Vision is built on the SEA-M architecture and comes with some pretty cool ideas.

The Zeekr M-Vision is the result of Waymo and Zeekr comes with a spacious interior while eliminating the B-pillars. The model will lead the future of mobility, said Zeekr. The lack of B-pillars means easy passage in and out of the car and lots of extra space.

The SEA-M platform used in M-Vision was developed based on the Zeekr 001 but has been heavily modified and developed specifically for future autonomous mobility.

The platform is flexible enough to allow for the creation of different versions of the car and completely different models, as long as the wheelbase is between 2,700mm and 3,300mm. The enormous range allows for many seating arrangements – from a luxurious two-seat configuration to a 9-seat commuter shuttle.

The Zeekr M-Vision is geared towards autonomous mobility using the L4 intelligent driving system and is compatible with various driverless technology solutions, according to Zeekr.

The car uses the latest Waymo Driver driverless software and hardware and is capable of L4 autonomous driving. The car is coming to the US and will be used on the Waymo One ride-hailing service.

On the exterior, this car comes with a capsule design style with a pair of electric powered doors with a maximum opening of 1.4 meters for easy access for passengers.

On December 29, 2021, Geely announced a partnership with Waymo in which Zeekr will develop all-electric vehicles for Waymo.

The vehicles will be used in Waymo’s ride-hailing service, Waymo One, and will be commercially available in the United States.

The vehicle will be designed and developed at Zeekr’s CEVT (China Europe Vehicle Technology Centre) research and development facility in Gothenburg, Sweden, Geely said at the time.
