Chinese electric vehicle maker Zeekr will officially launch its Zeekr 7X SUV in Hong Kong later this month, the company said on Tuesday, as it expands international sales following the model’s recent debut in Europe.
A Zeekr spokesperson told CnEVPost that the 7X is “poised to become a new benchmark for family vehicles in the city” when it goes on sale in late June. The model, a mid-sized electric SUV, is Zeekr’s second offering aimed at the mainstream market, following the Zeekr 007 sedan.
The 7X debuted in mainland China on September 20, 2024, and is available in three variants with starting prices of RMB 229,900 ($31,950), RMB 249,900, and RMB 269,900. Zeekr initiated European pre-sales for the SUV in December, targeting markets including the Netherlands, Sweden, and Norway.
On May 19, the company announced its first 7X deliveries in Europe had taken place in Bergen, Norway. Zeekr said it plans to begin deliveries in additional European countries following this initial rollout.
The Hong Kong launch marks another step in Zeekr’s international expansion strategy, as it looks to compete in the premium family EV segment. Backed by China’s Geely Group, Zeekr listed on the New York Stock Exchange earlier this year and is positioning its global models to take on rivals in key overseas markets.
