Zeekr, the electric vehicle (EV) maker, has teased the upcoming launch of its latest model, the Zeekr 007 GT, marking its continued push into the shooting brake segment.
The company shared the first images of the vehicle today, revealing a sleek design that expands Zeekr’s lineup, following the successful introduction of the Zeekr 001 shooting brake model in 2021.
The Zeekr 007 GT, which will be known as the Zeekr 7 GT in international markets, is positioned as a grand tourer. The company hinted at its release with a cryptic message on Weibo: “A great tour is about to start, see you tomorrow,” without providing further details. This new model is set to follow Zeekr’s plan to unveil three all-new vehicles in 2025, with one debuting each quarter, according to CEO Andy An.
The Zeekr 001, which debuted on April 15, 2021, was a bold move for the brand, introducing an unconventional design as its first model. Despite initial doubts, the Zeekr 001 has become one of the company’s top sellers. In 2023, it accounted for 64% of Zeekr’s total deliveries, with 76,246 units sold.
The vehicle has continued to perform well, with 92,289 units delivered in January-November 2024, making up nearly half of the brand’s sales.
Zeekr’s rapid growth was further highlighted in December 2024, when it achieved a record 27,190 vehicle deliveries, bringing its total for the year to 222,123 units.
