Zeekr reported a rebound in vehicle deliveries in August, with 18,003 units sold, marking a 15% increase from July’s 15,655 deliveries and a 46.43% rise from the 12,303 vehicles delivered in the same month last year. The rebound follows a dip in deliveries in July.
From January to August, Zeekr delivered a total of 121,540 vehicles, reflecting an 81.47% increase year-on-year. The company aims to reach a target of 230,000 deliveries for the entire year. As of the end of August, Zeekr’s cumulative deliveries since its inception stood at 318,173 vehicles.
Zeekr’s current lineup includes the Zeekr 001, Zeekr 007, Zeekr 009, and Zeekr X. The Zeekr 007, an electric sedan launched on December 27, 2023, is the company’s first model designed for the mainstream EV market, while the other models are targeted at niche segments.
On August 30, Zeekr unveiled the Zeekr 7X at the Chengdu auto show, an SUV designed to target the family car market. The Zeekr 7X, available for pre-sale with a starting price of RMB 239,000 ($33,710), is positioned as a competitor to the Tesla Model Y. The official launch is scheduled for September 20, with deliveries in China expected by the end of the month and global market deliveries within a year.
In addition to its battery electric vehicles (BEVs), Zeekr plans to expand into the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) market. The company will introduce a flagship SUV in the second half of 2025, featuring a new electric-hybrid powertrain technology. “This hybrid technology will combine the advantages of plug-in hybrid and extended-range hybrid technologies, offering better power performance for users,” Zeekr CEO Andy An said.
