Chinese automaker Geely Auto on Tuesday officially launched the updated Zeekr 009, as its premium electric vehicle brand Zeekr seeks to strengthen its position in China’s increasingly competitive luxury EV market.
The revamped Zeekr 009 multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) is available in three variants, including a seven-seat Ultra version, a seven-seat Ultra+ Family version, and a six-seat Ultra+ Executive version. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on May 20.
The model carries limited-time post-entitlement starting prices ranging from 413,800 yuan ($60,850) to 443,800 yuan, lower than the official guide prices of between 439,800 yuan and 469,800 yuan.
The updated Zeekr 009 was previously unveiled for pre-sales during the 2026 Beijing Auto Show and continues to target affluent consumers in the premium MPV segment.
The vehicle measures 5,217 mm in length, 2,024 mm in width and 1,812 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,205 mm.
The entry-level seven-seat Ultra variant adopts an 800-volt electrical architecture and is powered by a single motor producing 310 kilowatts. It uses a 108-kWh Qilin battery supplied by CATL.
According to Zeekr, the model offers a CLTC driving range of 740 kilometers and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. The battery can charge from 10% to 80% in 11.5 minutes.
The higher-end Ultra+ Family and Ultra+ Executive trims feature a 900-volt architecture and a dual-motor system delivering 680 kW of output. Both variants are equipped with a 115-kWh Qilin battery, offer a CLTC range of 720 km, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.
Zeekr said the higher-spec models are capable of charging from 10% to 80% in 10 minutes.
The updated Zeekr 009 also comes standard with dual-chamber air suspension and a smart “magic carpet” chassis function designed to improve ride comfort.
For assisted driving capabilities, the vehicle includes LiDAR technology and Nvidia’s Drive Thor-U chip, which provides computing power of 700 TOPS. The MPV is equipped with the Geely Afari Smart Driving (G-ASD) H7 system, supporting functions such as adaptive cruise control, automated parking assist and forward collision warning.
Interior upgrades differ across trims. The seven-seat Ultra+ Family version includes dual rotating second-row seats, while the six-seat Executive version adds Sofaro aviation-style seats.
The Zeekr 009, first launched in November 2022 with deliveries beginning in January 2023, remains one of the most expensive models offered by a Chinese domestic automotive brand.
