Zeekr Expands Pre-Sales of Electric Vehicles in Germany, Adjusts Prices for European Market

German car enthusiasts now have the opportunity to reserve their very own Zeekr 001 shooting brake and Zeekr X urban SUV, as Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Zeekr expands its pre-sales efforts in Germany. Following the successful launch of pre-sales in Sweden and the Netherlands, Zeekr aims to make its mark in the heart of Europe.

The Zeekr 001, a sleek and stylish shooting brake, is available for pre-sale in Germany at a price point of €59,990 ($64,807). Meanwhile, the urban-centric Zeekr X is offered to German consumers at a competitive rate of €44,990.

However, it’s worth noting that Zeekr’s pricing strategy for the European market differs significantly from its home base in China. In its homeland, the Zeekr 001 now starts at RMB 269,000 ($37,000) after substantial discounts applied last month, with the Zeekr X priced at RMB 188,900. The variance in pricing may be attributed to additional expenses incurred in Europe, such as transportation and taxes.

Excitingly, Zeekr enthusiasts in Germany can look forward to experiencing the brand up close and personal, as the company plans to inaugurate its first store in the country during the first half of 2024. It’s also the anticipated time when vehicle deliveries to German customers will commence.

Zeekr’s European ambitions were unveiled on April 18 at the Shanghai Auto Show, where the company revealed Amsterdam, the Netherlands, as the location of its European headquarters.

This move further materialized on June 27, when Zeekr initiated pre-sales of its Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X models in Sweden and the Netherlands. For the Dutch market, Zeekr offers three variants of the Zeekr 001, priced at €59,490, €62,490, and €67,490, respectively, along with two versions of the Zeekr X, starting at €44,990 and €49,490.

In Sweden, Zeekr enthusiasts can choose from three versions of the Zeekr 001, starting at SEK 677,000 ($61,470), SEK 707,000, and SEK 757,000, respectively. The Zeekr X is also available in two versions, with starting prices at SEK 550,000 and SEK 595,000, respectively.

With Zeekr’s expansion into Germany and other European countries, the brand is undoubtedly making strides in the competitive electric vehicle market, catering to a growing demand for sustainable mobility solutions on the continent.
