Zeekr is expanding its retail and service network in Malaysia, nearly doubling its dealership footprint as the Geely-owned premium electric vehicle (EV) brand strengthens its presence in Southeast Asia.

Zeekr Malaysia announced it has signed agreements with three local dealer partners—Quantum Motors Sdn Bhd, Wheelcorp Premium Sdn Bhd and Ghee Hua Co Sdn Bhd—to expand its authorized sales and after-sales network.

Dealer Network Set to Grow

The new dealerships will serve customers in Sri Manda City Bazaar in northern Kuala Lumpur, Setia Alam and Kuching.

Zeekr currently operates 11 dealership outlets across Malaysia and plans to increase the total to 18 by the end of 2026 to meet growing demand for vehicle sales and after-sales services.

The company said the expansion will strengthen its presence across both Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia while improving customer access to sales, maintenance and support services.

East Malaysia Expansion Continues

According to Zeekr, the new outlet in Kuching makes it the first Chinese premium automotive brand to establish a presence in East Malaysia.

The company is also preparing to expand into Sabah. While a permanent facility has yet to open, Zeekr deployed a mobile after-sales service team to Kota Kinabalu between June 27 and July 1 to provide routine maintenance, vehicle inspections and customer support.

The mobile service campaign also included product demonstrations and introductions to Zeekr’s ownership and service ecosystem.

The company plans to open its first 3S (sales, service and spare parts) center in Kota Kinabalu in 2027.

Malaysia Strategy Expands Beyond Initial Plans

Zeekr entered the Malaysian market in December 2024 with the launch of the Zeekr 009 multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) and the Zeekr X compact sport utility vehicle (SUV).

The brand originally planned to establish six outlets covering Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang and Johor Bahru. Less than two years later, its planned retail network has expanded to 18 locations.

Zeekr said it will continue strengthening its service infrastructure while accelerating the introduction of additional vehicle models as it seeks to grow its premium EV customer base in Malaysia.
