Geely’s premium electric vehicle brand Zeekr has officially launched in Italy, appointing Jameel Motors Italia as its local distribution partner, while deliveries have already begun in Germany following the opening of orders late last year.
In Italy, Zeekr will offer four models — the Zeekr 001 shooting brake, the compact Zeekr X SUV, the mid-size Zeekr 7X SUV and the recently introduced Zeekr 7GT electric estate — mirroring the lineup available in other European markets. Orders are now open, with retail outlets and customer deliveries scheduled to begin in spring 2026.
Jameel Motors Italia, which already distributes other Geely-affiliated brands, will handle sales and service operations in the country. “Italy is a key market in our European expansion, and the timing for Zeekr’s entry could not be better,” said Lothar Schupet, Chief Executive of Zeekr Europe, citing growing demand for premium electric vehicles and expanding charging infrastructure.
Germany is further along in the rollout. Zeekr began accepting orders there in December 2025, and the first vehicles have now been handed over to customers. In mid-February, the brand delivered a Zeekr 7X Long Range rear-wheel-drive model to its first German buyer in Stuttgart.
Marco Santucci, Managing Director of Jameel Motors Italia, said the company aims to build a lasting presence in the market. “With Zeekr, we are introducing a highly competitive offering, designed in Europe and built around customers’ real expectations: performance, innovation and a high-quality experience throughout the entire customer journey,” he said.
Zeekr’s expansion reflects broader efforts by Chinese automakers to gain a foothold in Europe’s premium EV segment, competing with established brands through a combination of advanced technology, performance and aggressive pricing.
Owned by China’s Geely Holding Group, Zeekr is positioning itself as a global luxury electric brand, with Europe serving as a key battleground for market share as the region accelerates its transition to zero-emission vehicles.
