Xpeng’s latest flagship model, the P7+, has enjoyed a strong reception, breaking the electric vehicle manufacturer’s previous sales records. Within the first three hours of its official launch on November 7, the P7+ secured 31,528 firm orders, marking a significant milestone for the company. This figure was shared by Xpeng on Weibo, underscoring the sedan’s popularity.

Xpeng chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng highlighted the success of the launch, revealing that more than 10,000 orders were placed within the first 12 minutes of the event. The P7+ is available in two standard variants priced at RMB 186,800 ($26,150) and RMB 198,800. A limited edition, priced at RMB 218,800, sold out quickly, with only 500 units available. As a result, customers who opt for the regular variants will face a delivery wait time of 7-10 weeks.

The P7+ boasts dimensions larger than those of the P7i, measuring 5,056 mm in length, 1,937 mm in width, and 1,512 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. The sedan is powered by lithium iron phosphate batteries from Eve Energy, with the base model offering a 60.7 kWh battery providing a range of up to 615 kilometers, while the long-range version features a 76.3 kWh battery with a range of up to 725 kilometers. Thanks to its 800V high-voltage platform, the P7+ can charge from 0 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes with fast charging.

Available exclusively in the Max version, the P7+ comes with Xpeng’s driver assistance system, and the XNGP (Xpeng Navigation Guided Pilot) functionality is included as part of the delivery. Production of the P7+ is underway at Xpeng’s Guangzhou plant, ensuring no production delays, unlike the potential capacity issues affecting the Mona M03 model at the Zhaoqing plant.
