Xpeng has launched its G9L flagship electric SUV in Europe, unveiling the model on October 12, the opening day of the Paris Motor Show 2026. The six- and seven-seat vehicle expands the Chinese automaker’s European lineup, with starting prices ranging from €74,600 in Germany to €75,990 in the Netherlands.

The G9L is available exclusively as a battery-electric vehicle (BEV) in Europe, unlike the Chinese-market version, which is offered with both battery-electric and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) powertrains. The European model also differs in seating configuration from the five-seat version sold in China.

European Pricing and Configurations

Xpeng has announced the following starting prices for the G9L in five European markets:

  • Germany: €74,600
  • France: €74,990
  • Belgium: €74,990
  • Austria: €75,600
  • Netherlands: €75,990

The European model offers six-seat and seven-seat layouts, positioning it for customers seeking a larger electric SUV with additional passenger capacity.

Specifications and Chinese-Market Launch

The G9L went on sale in China on September 17, 2026, as a flagship family SUV. The Chinese version measures 5,120 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,782 mm high, with a wheelbase of 3,100 mm.

Rear passenger space and comfort features are among the model’s key design priorities. However, Xpeng has not provided a complete set of European-market technical specifications in the launch announcement, including the final driving range, battery capacity and charging performance.

Local Production in Austria

The European launch follows the start of trial production at Magna’s manufacturing facility in Graz, Austria. Xpeng announced on October 7 that the first G9L assembled locally had completed trial production at the plant.

The G9L is the fourth Xpeng model to enter local production at the facility, joining the G6 SUV, G9 SUV and P7+ sedan.

Xpeng began manufacturing vehicles in Europe in September 2025, using existing facilities operated by contract manufacturer Magna Steyr. The arrangement allows the company to assemble vehicles locally while expanding its European model range.

The company has not disclosed a confirmed date for the start of mass production or customer deliveries of the G9L in Europe.

International Expansion

Xpeng plans to introduce the G9L in 64 countries and regions worldwide. Its European launch forms part of a broader international expansion as the company develops its overseas sales and manufacturing operations.

The introduction of the six- and seven-seat SUV adds a larger electric vehicle to Xpeng’s European offering. Further details on European deliveries and market-specific specifications are expected to clarify the model’s availability across the region.
