Xpeng reported record vehicle deliveries in August, extending its recent sales momentum as the Mona M03 sedan drove demand in an expanding product lineup.

The Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer delivered 37,709 units last month, a 168.66% rise from the 14,036 vehicles delivered a year earlier and a 2.7% increase from July’s 36,717, according to a filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Deliveries of the Mona M03 exceeded 15,000 units in August, with cumulative sales of the sedan surpassing 160,000 since its launch in late August 2024.

From January to August, Xpeng delivered 271,615 vehicles, up 251.79% year-on-year. Since its founding, the company has handed over 861,994 vehicles.

Xpeng has set a target of doubling deliveries in 2025 to about 380,000 units, compared with 190,068 last year. If current monthly delivery levels continue, analysts say the target could be within reach.

The product cycle has been central to Xpeng’s performance this year. The company launched the next-generation P7 sedan on August 27, with nationwide deliveries beginning the following day.
