Xpeng has begun exports of its Mona M03 electric sedan, marking a key step in the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker’s push to expand into overseas markets. The model, which has been one of Xpeng’s top sellers in China, will first enter the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
“Xpeng Mona has been fully prepared and officially began shipping to the Middle East and North Africa, embarking on a new journey overseas,” the company announced on its Weibo account.

While Xpeng did not disclose further details, images shared online showed Mona M03 units being exported via Anji Logistics — a subsidiary of SAIC Motor that operates China’s largest car carrier fleet. The vehicles were loaded at Taicang Port in Jiangsu province, eastern China.
Launched in China on August 27, 2024, the Mona M03 is currently the only model under the Mona sub-brand. Priced from RMB 119,800 (about $16,800), it is positioned as an affordable alternative to Tesla’s Model 3. The sedan has consistently been a strong performer, delivering 15,334 units in August, maintaining 12 consecutive months above the 10,000-unit mark, and contributing 40.66% of Xpeng’s total monthly deliveries, according to data compiled by CnEVPost. Between January and August, cumulative deliveries reached 117,443 units, accounting for 43.24% of Xpeng’s total during the period.

Xpeng plans to further expand the Mona lineup globally. Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng told CNBC on September 8 that Mona-branded vehicles will launch in Europe next year, with a broader international rollout planned for 2026. “In 2026 you can expect a variety of Mona products launched into the Chinese and European markets, as well as in the rest of the world,” He said, according to CNBC’s translation.
Spy photos circulating on Chinese social media suggest Xpeng is already developing the second model in the Mona lineup, indicating continued efforts to diversify the brand and strengthen its global presence.
