Xpeng revealed an impressive achievement in their October delivery figures. The company surpassed the 20,000 mark for the first time, recording a total of 20,002 vehicle deliveries. This substantial growth represents a remarkable 292.12 percent increase compared to the previous year and a notable 30.65 percent rise from September, marking the ninth consecutive month of increased deliveries.
The robust performance of the Xpeng G6 SUV played a crucial role in the company’s October success. This model alone contributed 8,741 units in deliveries, establishing itself as the best-selling all-electric SUV in the RMB 200,000 ($27,320) to RMB 250,000 price segment, according to the company’s report.
While the G6 played a significant role, its share of Xpeng’s total deliveries in October decreased slightly, accounting for 43.7 percent, down from 53.12 percent in September. This suggests that other Xpeng vehicle models may have seen noteworthy growth in deliveries during the same period.
Xpeng’s current product lineup exclusively consists of battery electric vehicles (BEVs), including the G3 series, G9, P5, and P7 series. However, the company has not provided detailed breakdown figures for the individual performance of these models.
Zooming out to a broader perspective, in the January-October period, Xpeng achieved a total of 101,445 vehicle deliveries. While this reflects a decrease of 2.13 percent compared to the previous year, this dip is primarily attributed to a relatively slow start in deliveries at the beginning of the year.
