Xiaomi has completed a significant regulatory step for its high-performance electric sedan, the SU7 Ultra, by filing for approval with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

The SU7 Ultra has been added to MIIT’s latest catalog of models eligible for public feedback, with comments open from November 8 to November 14. This inclusion marks the last regulatory step required before the model can be sold in China, and it is slated for its real-life debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show on November 15.

Manufactured at Xiaomi’s Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area facility, the SU7 Ultra is an all-electric sedan measuring 5,115 mm in length, 1,970 mm in width, and 1,465 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. The model is larger than Xiaomi’s standard SU7 sedan and weighs 2,360 kilograms, supporting a top speed of 318 kilometers per hour.

Powered by lithium-ion ternary batteries from CATL, the SU7 Ultra features three in-house manufactured motors with peak outputs of 288 kW, 425 kW, and 425 kW.

Priced at RMB 814,900 ($113,890), it is nearly four times the base price of the standard SU7 model, which starts at RMB 215,900. Xiaomi began taking pre-orders on October 29 and plans an official market launch in March 2025.
