Xiaomi’s first electric vehicle, the SU7, has seen strong market reception, with more than 248,000 locked-in orders by the end of 2024, company founder and CEO Lei Jun announced at a product launch event. The tech giant delivered over 135,000 SU7 units throughout the year.

Xiaomi, best known for its consumer electronics, introduced the SU7 in March 2024 and has since delivered over 20,000 units per month in the past four months.

The sedan is available in three variants—Standard, Pro, and Max—with starting prices of RMB 215,900 ($30,000), RMB 245,900 ($34,000), and RMB 299,900 ($42,000), respectively.

At an October event, Lei unveiled the SU7 Ultra, an ultra-performance version priced at RMB 814,900 ($113,000), roughly four times the base model’s cost.

Within 10 minutes of pre-sales opening, the variant received 3,680 pre-orders. Xiaomi aims to sell 10,000 units of the SU7 Ultra in 2025.

Looking ahead, Xiaomi targets 300,000 total EV deliveries in 2025. The company is also preparing to expand its lineup with the YU7, an electric SUV set for a mid-year launch.
