Xiaomi has revealed its new Electric Scooter 6 Lite on one of its official global websites, signalling a potential international rollout of what is expected to be the most affordable and lightest model in the company’s latest e-scooter lineup.
The Electric Scooter 6 Lite is positioned as the entry-level product in Xiaomi’s new Electric Scooter 6 series, which also includes higher-end models such as the Electric Scooter 6 Max. The appearance of the product on Xiaomi’s global site suggests the company plans to offer the model across multiple markets, although no launch date or pricing details have been confirmed.
According to specifications published online, the Electric Scooter 6 Lite is powered by a motor with a peak output of 500 watts, delivering a top speed of 25 kilometres per hour and the ability to climb gradients of up to 15%. It is equipped with a 216 watt-hour battery, providing a range of up to 25 kilometres at lower speeds or around 20 kilometres at the maximum speed, indicating a focus on short-distance urban travel.
The model features 10-inch pneumatic tyres, dual-spring front suspension with 25 mm of travel, and a folding frame designed to improve ride comfort and portability. Braking is handled by a front drum brake combined with an electronic anti-lock braking system at the rear.
Additional equipment includes a 2.5-watt headlight, rear brake light, and an integrated display showing speed, riding mode and remaining battery capacity. The scooter can also be connected to the Xiaomi Home app, allowing users to monitor ride data and manage settings remotely.
Xiaomi describes the Electric Scooter 6 Lite as combining a lightweight design with durability, supporting rider weights of up to 100 kilograms while weighing 18.1 kilograms itself. The scooter carries an IPX4 water-resistance rating, suitable for light rain but not for prolonged wet conditions. When folded, it measures 1,140 x 512 x 555 mm, making it easier to transport or store.
While pricing has not been announced, the Electric Scooter 6 Lite is expected to undercut other models in the range. By comparison, the previous-generation Electric Scooter 4 Lite (2nd Gen) carried a recommended retail price of around €330 in Europe.
