Xiaomi EV said its vehicle deliveries reached a record 48,654 units in October, marking the second consecutive month above 40,000 and moving closer to the 50,000 mark, according to data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

From January through October, the company delivered a total of 315,376 vehicles, putting it within reach of its full-year target of 350,000 units. “October deliveries again exceeded 40,000 units,” Xiaomi EV said on November 1, without disclosing the exact figure at the time.

The company’s new YU7 SUV — a competitor to Tesla’s Model Y — led sales momentum, with a record 33,662 units delivered in October, up 50.49 percent from 22,369 units in September. The model accounted for nearly 70 percent of Xiaomi EV’s total monthly deliveries. Officially launched on June 26, cumulative YU7 deliveries have now reached 80,855 units, data compiled by CnEVPost shows.

Meanwhile, deliveries of the SU7 sedan series, which includes the standard SU7 and SU7 Ultra, reached 14,992 units in October — a 27.7 percent decline year-on-year and 23.4 percent drop from September. The company attributed the decline to production prioritization rather than waning demand, as resources have been shifted toward the YU7 SUV.

Customers placing new orders for the standard SU7 face a waiting period of at least 26 weeks, while the YU7 has an estimated delivery window of 32 to 38 weeks, according to CnEVPost’s monitoring data.

Since beginning deliveries in April 2024, Xiaomi’s SU7 lineup has accumulated 234,521 deliveries through October, underscoring strong demand despite ongoing production constraints.
