After a hiatus of several years, the German sports car manufacturer Wiesmann came up with the Project Thunderball, which is an all-electric roadster with an 800-volt architecture.
Wiesmann has long been known to use BMW engines for the vehicles they produce. But this time there’s no BMW-made engine under the hood. Two electric motors mounted on the rear axle transmit power up to 500 kW and allow torque of up to 1,100 Nm.
The Thunderball uses a battery with a total capacity of 92 kWh installed, of which 83 kWh can be used. The battery comes with 800V support to charge up to 300 kW.

The Thunderball is made of lightweight materials such as aluminum and carbon fiber, its total weight is 1,775 kilograms. Its low weight ensures low consumption. For acceleration time, it only takes 2.9 seconds to reach 62 miles/hour (100 km/h) from a standstill.
When the battery is fully charged, Project Thunderball is claimed to be able to cover a distance of up to 311 miles (500 kilometers) before charging again.

Thunderball comes with an aristocratic British retro style. The clamshell hood is very retro, while the retro interior features the latest technologies, such as a large touchscreen and carbon fiber seats.
Engineers at Weismann have designed this EV with five levels of regenerative braking to choose from, to become “the most exciting electric sports car in the world,” said CEO Roheen Berry.
There are no details about the mass production of Project Thunderball and the price.
